Gusseted 1870s corset from ‘Before The Automobile’ - a historical fashion blog.
The shape of this corset is straight out of my dreams, and yet it’s made of only one layer of coutil, with external bone casings, and really lovely flossing detail. I have a very soft spot for historically accurate corset patterns, and this is one of the nicest I’ve seen. It’s definitely something I’d like to try to make for myself in the future, though I’d much prefer it as an underbust!
It’s him it’s him!!!!
I can’t believe that I will own a beauty such as this soon *___________*
I ask my corset maker of choice, and friend, Cristina Moret from Sartilegio Atelier, to make a black satin corset on this exact model I can’t wait to wear it!!!!!
This is my dreams’s corset *_______________*
…and I still can’t believe my favorite corset-maker (Cristina Morest of Sartilegio Atelier, in Italy!) is doing it just for me. I can’t wait to try it!
